Welcome to The Well Softball! We are a ministry of The Well Church, located in Brighton, Michigan, composed of Men’s, Women’s, and Coed softball teams who seek to engage those inside and outside of the church in recreational fellowship. The Well believes everyone is created for a purpose (mission,) and that God also placed in us a love for the game, and when we play softball, we feel His presence. We currently have seven softball teams, with over 60 male and female players, and always looking for both believers and non-believers to join our teams. Our players actively engage and serve our local communities, whether through our annual Feeding America Softball Tournament, participation with N.E.T.S prison outreach, or playing softball in local recreational and church leagues.
The Well Softball works closely with Netcaster’s Evangelistic Team Sports also referred to as NETS. NETS’s mission is of extreme importance: to see lost sinners come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to train them to become Disciples of Jesus. Declared “crusades” take NETS members into prisons to engage inmates with team sports fellowship, either softball or basketball, and a gospel presentation with a time set aside for inmate response. This outreach hopes that inmates experience a changed life promised by God in His Word, the Bible, which drastically aides in the overall rehabilitation process of making these men and women more useful members of society.
