The Well Softball a Ministry of The Well Church

The Well Softball is a ministry of The Well Church. We are located in Brighton, Michigan, and composed of Men’s, Women’s, and Coed softball teams who seek to engage those inside and outside of the church in recreational fellowship. The Well believes everyone is created for a purpose (mission,) and that God also placed in us a love for the game. When we play softball, we feel His presence. Currently we have seven softball teams, with over 60 male and female players, and always looking for both believers and non-believers to join our teams. Our players actively engage and serve our local communities, whether through our annual Feeding America Softball Tournament, participation with N.E.T.S prison outreach, or playing softball in local recreational and church leagues.

Our Feeding America Softball Tournament, formerly known as The Child Hunger Ends Here Softball Tournament, started in 2012. A Well softball player looking to make an impact in their community convinced twelve area softball teams to join in a tournament to alleviate childhood hunger. In the first year over 16,000 meals were raised for the over 6.000 children, as classified by the U.S. Census Bureau as “Food Insecure” in Livingston County, MI. To date, all teams of The Well have adopted The Feeding America Softball Tournament as their flagship tournament. We have recorded over 100,000 meals raised!
This year, our Feeding America Softball Tournament will be held August 6th, 2017 at the TAGS Sports Complex, in Hartland, MI. We have set a goal to break over 150,000 meals raised. Interested teams/players are encouraged to sign up! Click the button or contact us by phone or email listed on our Contact Page.
The Well Softball works closely with Netcaster’s Evangelistic Team Sports also referred to as NETS. NETS’s mission is of extreme importance: to see lost sinners come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to train them to become Disciples of Jesus. Declared “crusades” take NETS members into prisons to engage inmates with team sports fellowship, either softball or basketball, and a gospel presentation with a time set aside for inmate response. This outreach hopes that inmates experience a changed life promised by God in His Word, the Bible, which drastically aides in the overall rehabilitation process of making these men and women more useful members of society.

Recreational Church Softball

We have multiple teams that play church softball for both the Brighton Church Men’s and Women’s Softball Leagues. Church softball is a fun and rewarding way to fellowship with other Christians, in a competitive sports atmosphere. Playing church softball is a wonderful way to meet and get to know fellow Christians at The Well and other area churches.

The Well is a community of people seeking to live like Jesus to change the world. Our heart is to provide an inviting place for you and your family to encounter God.

The Well seeks to hold fast to the beliefs that have been core to the Christian faith for the past 2000 years. We believe that there are some beliefs that are essential to the faith and others that have come up for debate. We as a church seek to hold fast to the essentials while remaining in conversation regarding those under debate.
We believe the essentials are as follows...
